Ashley Thomas has extensive experience in journalism, currently serving as Deputy Politics Editor at The Associated Press since June 2008. Previous roles at The Associated Press include White House Desk Editor, East Region Day Supervisor, and National Desk Editor, among others. Ashley began the career at the Albuquerque Journal as a designer in early 2008 and completed a copy writing and editing internship at Retail Jeweller magazine in late 2006. An alumnus of the University of Missouri-Columbia, Ashley holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, awarded in 2007.
