Cody Jackson is an experienced video journalist with a diverse background in capturing, writing, and editing video stories for prominent news organizations. Since September 2018, Cody has been with The Associated Press, initially serving as a video producer involved in launching the AP's video production in Atlanta, and currently working as a video journalist covering significant stories across the United States. Prior to joining The Associated Press, Cody gained extensive experience as a photographer with The E.W. Scripps Company from May 2008 to September 2018, where responsibilities included creatively producing visual content for major news stories. Earlier roles included work as a photographer for various television stations and as an Avid editor. Cody holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Film/Video and Photographic Arts from Full Sail University.
