Dr Mark Grant

Dr. Mark Grant's work experience includes serving as the Vice President of Global Safety and Security at The Associated Press. Dr Mark is also a member of the Board of Trustees at the International News Safety Institute (INSI). Dr. Grant co-founded MiRisk Media and holds the position of Non-Executive Director. Dr Mark has worked at Sky News as the Head of High Risk, Safety and Security, and also as a Media Risk and Security specialist. Additionally, they have held roles at Netflix as the Global Security Programs Lead and Regional Security Manager - EMEA. Dr. Grant has served as the Director of Security at CNN and worked in security and resilience roles at BBC. Dr Mark has also held managerial positions at SF Group, National Democratic Institute (NDI), and Sicuro Group LLC.

Dr Mark Grant's education history is as follows:

- From 2015 to 2021, they attended the University of Portsmouth and earned a degree in Security Risk Management. Dr Mark'sresearch focused on the risk management practices employed by news organizations in areas of conflict.

- Dr Mark pursued a Master's degree in Security Management from the University of Portsmouth, which they completed from 2011 to 2013.

- In 2013, they earned a certificate in Management Development from Hult Ashridge.

- In 2012, they obtained a certification as a Prince2 Practitioner in Project Management from The Knowledge Academy.

- From 2010 to 2011, they underwent training at Perpituity Training and received an HND (eq) in Security Management.

- In 2010, they completed a Level 3 certification in Close Protection from Ronin Protective Services.

In addition, Dr Mark Grant obtained the Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) certification from ISACA in the year 2023.
