John Barrow

Director, Product Design at The Associated Press

John Barrow has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in different companies. John started their career in the United States Marine Corps in 1983 and served until 1992. In 1994, they worked as an Art Director at both TV Guide and skitch TV. From 1997 to 1999, they served as an Art Director at Hearst Interactive. In 1999, John became the Art Director & Co-Founder at Gesso, where they stayed until 2005. John then joined Accoona in 2005 as an Art Director, handling various responsibilities related to internet startup products. Finally, since 2008, they have been working as the Director of Product Design at The Associated Press.

John Barrow attended Pratt Institute from 1991 to 1994, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Graphic Design. John later pursued further education at Salve Regina University, obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from 2017 to 2019. Additionally, they completed business finance courses in economics, accounting, and statistics at CUNY School of Professional Studies in 2016 and received certification as a Certified WalkMe Builder from WalkMe™ in 2015.
