Josef Federman

News Director at The Associated Press

Josef Federman began their work experience in 1993 as a correspondent for The Associated Press in Charleston, W. Va. After 18 months, they were promoted to the AP International Desk at the headquarters in New York City. In 2000, they joined the Wall Street Journal as an editor, specializing in the Asian, European, and U.S. editions. Josef then returned to The Associated Press in 2003, where they became the News Director, overseeing the daily coverage of Israel and the Palestinian territories.

Josef Federman holds a BA in Government from Clark University and a Master's degree in International Affairs with a focus on Middle East Studies from Columbia University.
