Since joining The Associated Press in February 2003 as Editor of the Europe Desk, Lisa has edited urgent news and coached reporters to produce high-quality stories under tight deadlines. Previous roles include reporter at The Associated Press, where Lisa aggressively covered various beats and contributed to national education initiatives, as well as positions at the Los Angeles Times and The Washington Post, where education coverage garnered Pulitzer Prize nominations. Additionally, Lisa taught journalism at California State University, Northridge. Lisa holds a Master of Science in Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley.
