Maggie Hyde

Maggie Hyde is an experienced video journalist and planner for the Mideast Extra TV service with The Associated Press since January 2014. Previous roles include Economy Editor and reporter at Egypt Independent, where focus was on politics and economics for the English edition, as well as an intern staff writer at the Associated Press Cairo Bureau, where reporting covered societal, cultural, and political events in Egypt. Additional reporting experience includes positions at Medill News Service's Washington and Chicago Bureaus, emphasizing immigration issues and multimedia storytelling. Maggie holds a Master of Science in Journalism from Medill School of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Arabic Language and Classical Civilization from the University of Notre Dame.
