Malak Harb is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in both hard news and feature reporting. Currently a journalist at the Associated Press since November 2015, Malak has covered significant global events such as the Ukraine and Yemen wars, the lifting of the ban on women driving in Saudi Arabia, and the Israeli elections. Malak's work includes producing for both broadcast and digital formats in conflict zones, managing live feeds, and verifying user-generated content. Additional roles include serving as a scuba diving instructor and Emergency First Response instructor since May 2024, and functioning as a freelance Master of Ceremony and voice-over artist since February 2009. Prior experiences include leadership positions at Gulf News Broadcasting, where Malak managed reporting teams and local content, as well as producing for BBC News. Malak holds dual Bachelor's degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Art History from Boston University.
