Michael Biesecker

Michael Biesecker is a seasoned journalist and educator with extensive experience in investigative reporting. As a Global Investigative Reporter for The Associated Press since July 2011, Biesecker has contributed to critical coverage on human conflict, war crimes, environmental enforcement, and climate change impacts. Additionally, Biesecker serves as an Adjunct Professor of Journalism at Georgetown University, teaching graduate courses focused on investigative and environmental reporting. Previous roles include State Capitol Reporter for The Charlotte Observer and The News & Observer, and Visiting Lecturer at North Carolina State University. Biesecker's educational background includes a BA in English from North Carolina State University and an MA in Liberal Studies from Wake Forest University.
