Mitch Stacy

Mitch Stacy is an experienced sports writer with a tenure at The Associated Press from August 1998 to the present, covering teams such as the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, Ohio State football and basketball, and Columbus Blue Jackets hockey. Stacy served as Ohio Breaking News Supervisor from 2012 to 2016 and has held the position of Ohio Sports reporter since 2016. Prior experience includes a role as a bureau reporter for AP Tampa, as well as various positions in London and Atlanta. Prior to joining The Associated Press, Stacy reported for The Gainesville Sun from 1987 to 1998, including stints as a reporter, feature writer, columnist, and editor. Early career experience includes reporting at the Lorain Journal and Daily Jeffersonian. Mitch Stacy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Ohio University, earned between 1979 and 1984.
