Moriah Balingit

Moriah Balingit is an experienced journalist specializing in early education and child care, currently working as a reporter for The Associated Press since December 2023. Previously, Moriah served as a National Education Reporter at The Washington Post, where notable work included co-reporting a Peabody-winning podcast on community violence. Moriah's career began at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, covering city government and crime, and also includes fellowship experiences with the Pulitzer Center and the International Center for Journalists. Moriah holds a Master’s Degree in Journalism and Public Affairs from American University and a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of Oregon.
