Philip Marcelo

Philip Marcelo is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in reporting for various prestigious media organizations. Since April 2014, Philip has served as a general assignment reporter for The Associated Press in the NYC bureau, with previous roles including AP Fact Check Reporter focusing on debunking misinformation and Massachusetts Reporter covering immigration and race issues. Prior to joining The Associated Press, Philip worked at The Providence Journal from January 2006 to March 2014, where responsibilities included covering Rhode Island's state legislature and governor’s office, as well as city politics in Providence. Philip holds a Master of Public Affairs from Brown University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Georgetown University.
