Ryan Pearson

Ryan Pearson has extensive experience in journalism, primarily with The Associated Press since November 1999, where roles have included Manager of Los Angeles Entertainment Video and Reporter/Producer. Pearson has produced video and print features covering Hollywood and the arts, interviewing prominent figures such as Will Smith and Meryl Streep. Previous positions included Staff Reporter in the asap department, focusing on multimedia feature reporting, as well as general news writing with an emphasis on popular culture. Pearson also served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern California, teaching undergraduate newswriting. A graduate of the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and American Studies, Pearson also studied Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Sussex. Experience prior to the Associated Press includes reporting for The Des Moines Register.
