Scott Bauer

Scott Bauer is an experienced correspondent with the Associated Press, leading the bureau in Madison since December 1996, specializing in state government and politics. Notably, in 2016, Scott focused on national political coverage, reporting on the Ted Cruz presidential campaign, the GOP race, and Mike Pence's vice presidential candidacy. Prior to this role, Scott served as a reporter for the La Salle News Tribune from May 1994 to June 1996, covering local politics and news in the Illinois Valley region. Scott holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Miami University, obtained in 1994, and completed high school at Oak Hills High School in 1990.
