Daniel Jaeger

Daniel Jaeger has a strong background in actuarial work. Daniel started their career as an Actuarial Analyst at ISO in 2006, where they focused on personal and commercial auto clients. Daniel then moved on to Ernst & Young in 2007, where they worked as a Manager in Insurance and Actuarial Advisory Services. At Ernst & Young, they served as an actuarial consultant for a diverse client base, including insurers, reinsurers, captives, self-insureds, and banks. In 2013, Jaeger joined Validus Reinsurance, Ltd. as a Vice President - Reserving Actuary. In this role, they were involved in all areas of the reserving process for the company and oversaw the valuation loss estimate process for their affiliated Insurance Linked Securities platform, AlphaCat. Most recently, in 2020, they joined Assured Guaranty as a Director, Actuary.

Daniel Jaeger obtained a Bachelor's degree in History and Mathematics from William & Mary from 2001 to 2005. Daniel also has additional certifications including being a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), obtaining a Data Science Specialization from Coursera in 2017, and becoming a Fellow in the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) in 2012. Additionally, they are a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) since 2010.
