Andrew Johnson

Andrew Johnson is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in mechanical and fluid systems engineering. Currently serving as Deputy Head of Mechanical Engineering at Assystem since May 2022, Andrew manages a team of mechanical engineers on the Hinkley Point 'C' project and is involved in the competency assessment of new candidates for clients in the UK. Concurrently, Andrew holds a role as a fluid systems engineer at Edvance, focusing on critical systems for the HPC nuclear power plant, and previously spent over 15 years at Blaze Manufacturing Solutions, where responsibilities included leading research and development, providing fire safety engineering expertise, and managing project estimations. Andrew holds an HNC in Mechanical Engineering from Angus College and has a strong foundation in innovative safety solutions.
