Ben Hope

Ben Hope is a principal safety and risk consultant at Assystem, specializing in probabilistic safety assessment in a nuclear safety context. They have spent most of their career on nuclear new builds in the UK, supporting GDAs, permission points, and major safety reports. Previously, Ben worked as a probabilistic safety assessment engineer at EDF and EDF Energy, where they led significant projects for Hinkley Point C and validated probabilistic safety classifications. They also served as a nuclear safety consultant at CRA Corporate Risk Associates, focusing on various areas, including fire PSA updates and digital control reliability. Ben holds a Master of Science in Physics from the University of Durham and completed a data science program at General Assembly.
