Craig Simpson

Craig Simpson is a highly experienced mechanical engineer with extensive expertise in mechanical piping and subsea systems. Currently serving as Principal Mechanical Engineer, Lead Engineer, and Deputy Head of Department for Mechanical Piping at Assystem since April 2021, Craig has prior roles including Senior Mechanical Engineer at Wessington Cryogenics and Subsea Mechanical Engineer at Expro. Additional experience includes a period of international travel and various engineering positions at Parker Hannifin, where responsibilities spanned from design draughtsmanship to welding engineering. Academic qualifications include a BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering from Newcastle College and postgraduate studies in Finite Element Analysis from The Open University. Craig's foundational training in mechanical engineering was completed at Rolls Royce Training School, culminating in NVQ Level 2 and 3 certifications.
