George Caliment

George Caliment is an experienced EC&I Engineer currently employed by Assystem since February 2024. In addition, George serves on the Grants Committee and as the Regional Coordinator for Europe at the International Youth Nuclear Congress (IYNC) from May 2025. Previous roles include Electrical Layout Engineer at Framatome (October 2022 - February 2024) and Graduate EC&I Engineer at Cavendish Nuclear (May 2022 - November 2022), with the latter position being part of a secondment from Sellafield Ltd. George's career began at Sellafield Ltd, where a progression from Graduate Electrical and Electronics Engineer (September 2021 - November 2022) to Electrical Systems Engineer (June 2019 - July 2020) took place. Early experience includes positions at Ferrari Romania as a Service Administrator Assistant (June 2018 - July 2018), a summer internship at BMW Romania (June 2017 - July 2017), and participation in the Undergraduate Leadership Programme with the Royal Navy in April 2017. George holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a Year in Industry from Newcastle University, completed in 2021.
