Mark Shields

Mark Shields is a Principal Safety and Risk Consultant at Assystem, where they focus on safety and risk assessments. A Chartered Chemical Engineer with the IChemE since 2014, Mark previously worked as a Safety Case Engineer at Jacobs, supporting EDF Energy's nuclear safety case authoring. They have extensive experience as a Senior Process Engineer at GSK and Cavendish Nuclear, where they contributed to engineering design for decommissioning work. Mark graduated with a BEng in Chemical and Process Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
