Simon Barber

Simon Barber is an accomplished professional in the energy and nuclear sectors, currently serving as the UK Managing Director and VP Business Development Director at Assystem since September 2020. Previously, Simon held the position of Director and Nuclear Business Leader at Arup from April 2011 to September 2020, overseeing the company's nuclear business. Prior to that, Simon was Operations Director at Mace Group, focusing on energy sector project and programme management. Simon's extensive experience also includes roles as Operations Manager at Atkins for both Power/T&D and Nuclear Defence, as well as positions at British Energy as Fuel Route Design Authority and Nuclear Safety Engineer. Simon holds a BSc Hons in Physics and an MSc in Radiation & Environmental Protection from the University of Surrey.
