Stephen Bird

Stephen Bird is currently the Head of Business Resource Management at Assystem UK, a position held since 2024. Previously, they served in various roles at Assystem from 2015 to 2023, including Senior Business Resource Manager and Business Manager for Energy and Civil Nuclear, where they focused on delivering engineering solutions and managing financial performance. Stephen gained earlier experience as a Regional Operations Manager at RSA Insurance Group Plc from 2003 to 2010, demonstrating leadership and operational expertise in a large-scale insurance business. They began their career as an Electrical Engineer at Argos Distributors from 1982 to 1993, where they completed an apprenticeship and contributed to minimizing plant downtime. Stephen holds a Chartered MCIPD and a DipNEBOSH certification.
