Peter Eckes is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the agricultural and chemical industries. Currently serving as the President of Peter Eckes and holding positions as Senior Advisor at SVG Ventures | THRIVE, Operational Partner at Astanor Ventures, Chairperson of the Board at Harpe Bio, and a member of the Advisory Group for Planetary Health at Novo Holdings, Peter Eckes has also retired as President of R&D and Regulatory from BASF, where leadership included global Crop Protection and Seed and Trait R&D. With a career spanning over three decades at BASF in various leadership roles, including Senior Vice President of Crop Protection Research and President of BASF Plant Science, Peter Eckes has a strong academic foundation with a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Goethe University Frankfurt and studies at Harvard University.
