Gianfranco Marchitelli is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the automotive and manufacturing sectors. Currently serving as the Head of R&D Chassis Division at Hitachi Astemo since January 2021, Gianfranco successfully established a new Suspension R&D center and developed full engineering capabilities within 2.5 years. Prior roles include Engineering Director at Hitachi Automotive Systems and Engineering Director for Asia Pacific at Chassis Brakes International Group, along with previous positions at Bosch China and Bosch. Gianfranco holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Bari and has earned multiple certifications, including a Black Belt in Sigma Kaizen from TBM Institute US.
