Luis Velarde

Luis Velarde is an experienced HSE Engineer with a focus on the Brakes Business Unit at Hitachi Astemo since April 2020. Prior to this role, Luis served as the Health and Safety Manager at Graphic Packaging International - Europe from March 2018 to April 2020, overseeing health and safety matters for worker well-being in Cantabria and managing corrective and preventive actions. Luis's extensive background also includes positions as a Técnico de Prevención at MC PREVENCION, Coordinator of Training at the Cámara de Comercio de Torrelavega, and Coordinator of Safety and Health at NORGRAFT PACKAGING, among others. Luis holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidad de Cantabria and a higher technical degree in Occupational Risk Prevention, specializing in Workplace Safety.
