Jonathan Zhang

Jonathan (Zhixiong) Zhang is an experienced technology professional with a strong focus on software and firmware engineering, particularly in the context of CXL products and Open System Firmware initiatives. Currently serving as Sr. Director SW at Astera Labs, Jonathan leads engineering efforts for CXL products and solutions. Previous roles include co-leading the Open System Firmware Project at the Open Compute Project and serving as a Software Engineer at Facebook, where innovative software solutions for CXL were developed. Jonathan's extensive background includes leadership positions at Marvell/Cavium, Qualcomm, and other companies, encompassing firmware development, architectural design, and contributions to industry standards. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Engineering in computer science and engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a Master of Science in Mercantile Marine Science from Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology.
