Blake Johnson

Blake Johnson is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Astra since January 2022, with previous experience as a Staff Solutions Engineer at nTopology from January 2020 to January 2022. Blake served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the U.S. Army Research Laboratory from 2018 to January 2020 and was a Researcher and Lab Manager at Northwestern University from September 2012 to December 2017, where Blake also worked as a Teaching Assistant for 3D Modeling. Additional experience includes an internship as a Test Engineer at BASF in summer 2017, a Design Engineer intern at Intel Corporation in summer 2012, tutoring at The University of Texas at Austin from January 2009 to December 2010, and an internship as a Thermal Lab Engineer at Lineage Power Private Limited in summer 2009. Blake obtained a PhD and a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University between 2012 and 2017 and completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Cockrell School of Engineering, The University of Texas at Austin from 2008 to 2012.
