Alex Willis

Alex Willis is a Software Defined Radio Hardware Engineer I at Astranis Space Technologies since July 2023. Prior to this role, Alex served as a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan College of Engineering in late 2022 and as an SDR Hardware Associate Engineer at Astranis Space Technologies in the summer of 2022. Alex also held the position of Electronics System Lead at MRacing from January 2019 to June 2022 and completed an internship as a Software Defined Radio Hardware Intern at Astranis in the summer of 2021. Earlier experience includes working as an Engineering Intern at Global Technology Ventures Inc. from June 2018 to September 2020, where Alex developed mechanical, electrical, and software systems for prototype products in the automotive sector. Alex earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2022, following a tenure at the university's Rackham Graduate School.
