Chris Tham is a seasoned technical project leader with extensive experience in aerospace, software, and hardware development. Currently serving as Principal Technical Project Lead at Astranis since August 2019, Chris previously held the same title at Space Exploration Technologies from November 2014 to July 2019, where leadership was demonstrated in the technical program management of Crew Dragon avionics systems. Prior to SpaceX, Chris spent over 17 years at Microsoft in various high-level roles, including Principal Program Manager and Director, contributing to the development of the Surface 3 tablet and autonomous consumer robotics. Chris's career also includes key positions at VXtreme, Navio Communications, Cirrus Logic, and Abekas Video Systems, showcasing a rich background in technical marketing, business development, and hardware design. Chris holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
