Dan Gilley

Dan Gilley is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in the aerospace and satellite industries. Currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering, Payloads at Astranis since 2020, Dan previously held the position of Director at RUAG Space AB, where notable achievements included establishing the California Digital Payload Products division and leading a $50M international program. Prior to RUAG, Dan spent over a decade at Lockheed Martin, progressing through roles such as Principal System Architect and Program Manager, where Dan spearheaded innovative digital payload solutions contributing to over $1B in new program wins. Dan's career began at Lockheed Martin and included key contributions at Nokia Networks, where Dan managed hardware development for 3G mobile infrastructure. Dan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
