Johnathan Gilbreth

Johnathan Gilbreth is an experienced Environmental Test Engineer currently employed at Astranis Space Technologies since January 2023. Prior to this role, Johnathan served as a Thermal and Fluids Test Engineer Intern at Kairos Power from May 2021 to January 2023, contributing to research and development for advanced reactor heat transfer testing. Johnathan's career began in the US Navy, where a tenure from August 2009 to April 2018 included positions such as Nuclear Electrician, Engineering Department Training Assistant, Electrical Leading Petty Officer, and Nuclear Electrician Operations Instructor, focusing on the operation and training within nuclear-powered submarines. Johnathan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley College of Engineering, completed in 2022, and previously attended Cuyamaca College from 2018 to 2020, along with nuclear training from the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command in 2009-2010.
