Mitchell Haynes

Mitchell Haynes is an experienced electrical integration engineer currently employed at Astranis Space Technologies since June 2022. Prior to this role, Mitchell served as an embedded systems engineer at ZOLA Electric from October 2017 to June 2022 and as an electrical engineer at ZIN Technologies, Inc. from June 2014 to September 2017. Responsibilities included developing switch-mode DC-DC power converters for ion thrusters, creating and verifying digital hardware designs using VHDL and Verilog, and collaborating on hardware design for experiments on the International Space Station. Mitchell began the career as a student research assistant at Case Western Reserve University, where power system simulation applications were developed, and served as a teaching assistant for FPGA design labs. The internship at Planet involved developing x-band radio for satellite communications and assisting with satellite functional testing. Mitchell holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, earned in 2014.
