Alaster Allum is currently the Senior Global Medical Affairs Lead for Renal Medicine at AstraZeneca, where they are responsible for global medical strategy and launch market readiness. With 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Alaster has successfully launched 11 drugs across eight therapeutic areas and has held various leadership roles, including Regional Director of Medical Affairs at Pfizer and Head of Global Medical Affairs at Besins Healthcare. Alaster has a strong track record in evidence generation, innovative digital healthcare initiatives, and building collaborations with experts and academic societies, significantly impacting clinical practice and business outcomes. Alaster earned a BA in Medical Sciences from the University of Cambridge, an MBBS from the University of London, and a Diploma in Strategy and Innovation from the University of Oxford's Said Business School.
