Alec Woosley

Alec Woosley is a protein engineer and synthetic biologist currently serving as an Associate Director at AstraZeneca within the Biologics Engineering department. They have previously held roles as a Senior Scientist at AstraZeneca, a Bioinformatics Scientist at Arrayo, and a Research Associate at the Medical University of South Carolina, where they focused on cancer-related research. Alec also completed a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and has contributed significantly to the field, including presentations on protein characterization at major scientific meetings. Prior to their advanced research career, Alec gained foundational experience as an undergraduate researcher and teaching assistant at James Madison University.
