Alex Nicholson is a leading digital and social media marketer and communicator with extensive experience at organizations including National Geographic, USA Today, Cone Communications, and AstraZeneca. As the first-ever social media strategist for USA Today, Alex built the newspaper’s social media presence from the ground up, training over 100 journalists and running highly successful campaigns. Currently, at AstraZeneca, Alex oversees global digital and social media strategy while also leading initiatives that engage thousands of employees, amplifying brand presence. Alex holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of Maryland Global Campus and is passionate about food accessibility, having launched #FeedTheFrontline during the COVID-19 pandemic. Outside of work, Alex enjoys traveling, boating, and baking.
