Alexandra Gessner

Alexandra Gessner is currently an Associate Principal AI Scientist at AstraZeneca, specializing in machine learning with a strong focus on Bayesian data analysis and uncertainty quantification. Previously, Gessner worked as a Machine Learning Researcher at the University of Tübingen, supporting interdisciplinary research, and modeled the fate of micropollutants as a Research Scientist in collaboration with the University of Waterloo and TU Munich. Gessner has also held positions at GIZ GmbH as a Consultant and Amazon as a Machine Learning Research Intern. They earned a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Tübingen and hold multiple advanced degrees in Physics from prestigious institutions.
