Alexandra Orton

Alexandra Orton has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Associate Director in Compound Synthesis & Management at AstraZeneca since February 2016. In this role, Alexandra has also held positions as Senior Scientist in Oncology DMPK and Team Lead for the Cambridge COVID-19 Test Centre, in addition to working as a Scientist in Oncology DMPK. Prior to AstraZeneca, Alexandra worked as a Dinghy Instructor and race coach at Chichester Yacht Club Limited from July 2011 to December 2015, and completed an industrial placement at Takeda Pharmaceuticals in 2013-2014. Alexandra holds a Master of Chemistry (MChem) degree from the University of Bath, obtained in 2015.
