Anders Broo

Anders Broo is the Executive Director and Head of Data Science & Modelling in Pharmaceutical Sciences at AstraZeneca, where they lead the digital transformation of the research unit to enhance decision-making through data science and advanced analytics. Previously, they served as a Science Program Leader and Senior Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca, where they built modeling capabilities and led global change initiatives in pharmaceutical development. Anders held academic roles as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Florida and the University of Uppsala, and as an Assistant and Associate Professor at Chalmers University of Technology. They also gained project management experience at Volvo Car Corporation prior to their extensive career in pharmaceutical research. Anders earned a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Gothenburg.
