Andrew Cook

Andrew Cook is the Assistant General Counsel for Intellectual Property at AstraZeneca, where they lead the global IP strategy for key therapy areas such as Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolism, and Neuroscience. With a background as a UK/European patent attorney and solicitor, Andrew has extensive experience building and defending robust IP portfolios across various products. They hold a PhD in Organic Chemistry and have previously worked as a Senior Research Scientist and Project Leader in Drug Discovery at AstraZeneca. Andrew's unique combination of legal, commercial, and scientific expertise allows them to support the development of life-changing medications.
