Ann Doherty

Ann Doherty is the Executive Director Head of Safety Innovation at AstraZeneca, where they lead initiatives in Cardiovascular Safety, Hepatic Safety, and various innovative safety assessments including Genetic Toxicology and Multi-omics. Prior to this role, they served as the Global Head of Functional and Mechanistic Safety at AstraZeneca from 2019 to 2021 and led the genetic toxicology group. Ann obtained a Bachelor of Science in Genetics and a PhD in Genetic Toxicology from the University of Wales, Swansea, where they also worked as a Research Fellow from 1997 to 2002.
