Ava Cohen

Ava Cohen currently serves as a RAP Associate in BioPharmaceutical Development at AstraZeneca since June 2024. Previously, Ava held various leadership roles at UNC Cadence, including President, Vice President, and Treasurer, where responsibilities encompassed managing rehearsals, organizing events, and fundraising, achieving a 187% surplus of fiscal goals. Ava also contributed to research as a Summer Abrams Scholar and Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, focusing on drug release and 3D-printed biomaterials. Additional experience includes positions at Lindy Biosciences, Innatrix, and the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering, alongside offering assistance in a Makerspace and serving in customer service at Waltonwood Senior Community. Ava holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Neuroscience from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, complemented by an Associate of Arts degree from Harper Middle College High School.
