Bas Stringer

Bas Stringer is a Senior Bioinformatician at AstraZeneca with over a decade of experience in life science research, specializing in bioinformatics, machine learning, cancer biology, and immunology. Previously, Bas completed a PhD at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where they integrated bioinformatics methods to analyze genomic mutations and provided education in bioinformatics and computer science. Bas also served as a Bioinformatician at Neogene Therapeutics and conducted significant research on hexokinase 2 at the University of Groningen. Bas holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology, graduating cum laude from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
