Benjamin McDonald is the Country President of AstraZeneca for Australia and New Zealand, having returned to Australia in 2022 after 15 years in various roles in Europe and the USA. They began their career with AstraZeneca as an in-house lawyer in 2007, progressively taking on more commercial responsibilities, including serving on the European commercial leadership team and contributing to the Global Oncology Business Unit and R&D leadership teams. Benjamin holds an Honours degree in Law and Science from the University of Melbourne, where a passion for scientific research originated through a research role focused on diabetes. They are dedicated to improving the health of all Australians and New Zealanders.
