Benjamin Umiker is a Translational Immunologist with a decade of biopharma experience following the completion of a PhD in Immunology from Tufts University. Currently serving as the Director and Translational Medicine Lead for Immuno-oncology at AstraZeneca, they previously held roles including Principal Scientist at Jounce Therapeutics, where they managed a team to advance clinical phase programs and executed a biomarker strategy for a Phase I/II study. Earlier in their career, Benjamin contributed to research on Inflammatory Bowel Disease at Merck and served as a Research Assistant at Acceleron Pharma. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Bates College, complemented by a minor in German.
