Carl Reens

Carl Reens has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, primarily with AstraZeneca since 2005. As a Principal Scientist and Associate Director in Global Chemical Development, responsibilities have included the development of routes and manufacturing processes for active pharmaceutical ingredients and the delivery of early-phase materials for clinical trials. Carl's career at AstraZeneca began with the role of Principal Chemist, progressing to Senior Accommodation Manager and Senior Process Chemist. Earlier roles included positions at Astra Production Chemicals, Fisons Pharmaceuticals, Dow Chemical Company, and Rhone-Poulenc Rorer, covering various aspects of chemical development and manufacturing. Carl Reens holds a BSc Hons in Applied Chemistry from the University of Salford and additional educational experience from the Open University and Rendcomb College.
