Christopher Binny

Christopher Binny is an Associate Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca, where they lead and contribute to various AAV gene therapy pipeline projects and novel AAV engineering approaches. Previously, Christopher served as a Senior Virologist at Asklepios BioPharmaceutical and as a Virologist at Synpromics Ltd, focusing on enhancing the production of gene therapy vectors. Their academic journey includes a PhD in Oncolytic Virotherapy from Queen Mary, University of London, and a BSc in Virology from the University of Warwick. Christopher has extensive postdoctoral research experience, having worked on AAV-mediated gene therapy at the University College London and the University of Sheffield.
