Christopher Wassif

Christopher Wassif is a Ph.D.-trained molecular biologist and internationally recognized scientist currently serving as the Senior Director of Emerging Technologies & High-Throughput Platforms at AstraZeneca. Christopher earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Oxford and has over 27 years of experience in clinical-based rare diseases and antibody research. Previously, they held positions as a Senior Staff Scientist and Co-Director at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, where they pioneered the development of a Next-Generation Sequencing Core Facility. With a prolific output of 80+ peer-reviewed publications and numerous awards to their name, Christopher is well-versed in leveraging cutting-edge technology to drive innovative solutions in biomedical research.
