Cristina Ferrás

Cristina Ferrás is a Senior Scientist in Discovery Biology at AstraZeneca, bringing over 15 years of experience in cell biology with a focus on DNA repair, mitosis, and cell metabolism. They have authored 15 publications in peer-reviewed journals, including notable works in Science and eLife, and have contributed to high-impact research at prestigious international institutions such as Karolinska and LUMC. Cristina has demonstrated extensive skills in designing and conducting molecular and cellular biology experiments, as well as training diverse teams of researchers. They earned a PhD in Human Biology from Universidade do Porto and have held various academic and research positions across Europe.
