David Owen

David Owen is the Senior Director of Global Project Management at AstraZeneca, where they lead a multi-disciplinary Phase 2/3 project team within Respiratory and Immunology. They have extensive experience in project and programme leadership across various therapeutic areas, including inflammation, oncology, and metabolism. Prior to their current role, David held several leadership positions at MedImmune, UCB Pharma, and Celltech, where they managed complex drug discovery and development projects. David earned an MSc and PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of East Anglia and an MA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge. They are also a published author with numerous patents and hold a professional project management qualification.
