David Rowlands is a global biopharmaceutical leader with extensive experience in immunology and respiratory research. Currently a Senior Director and Global Project Leader in early Respiratory & Immunology R&D at AstraZeneca, David previously served as the Associate Director and co-Head of the Respiratory Disease Area at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research. Throughout their career at Novartis, David defined the strategic direction of respiratory research and led interdisciplinary teams to develop therapeutics for various lung diseases. David holds a postdoctoral degree from Columbia University, where significant contributions to the field of Acute Lung Injury were recognized with multiple awards.
